Putting validity to something most of us already knew

There's a rumor floating that former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge has a tell-all book in the works containing another piece of information that will be yet another testament to how easy it is to motivate Republican voters. As it turns out, the ebb and flow of the security alerts during the Bush administration can possibly be tied to how badly Bush needed public support. Yes, that's right, Bush essentially used our fear of terrorist attacks in the wake of 9/11 as a tool to get votes in the 2004 election, allegedly.

So here we are again. Like Scott McClellan last year, yet another former Bush official has come forward with more tales of just how seriously fucked up their administration was, allegedly. But hey, at least there weren't any BJs in the Oval Office, allegedly.

Keith Olbermann did a piece on this over a year ago. Turns out he may have been right.
